Description
With the world's highest birthrate of twins, the Yoruba people are well known for their Ibeji twin figures. They believe that twins have special powers and share their soul. If one of these twins dies, the Yoruba is taken care of by the mother or remaining twin. Different carvings, hair style and shape can show the origin of the figure.
